Product Description
Xarelto 10mg Tablets contain rivaroxaban, a prescription anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to prevent and treat blood clots. It is commonly prescribed after hip or knee replacement surgery and for conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
Uses
• Prevention of blood clots after hip or knee replacement surgery
• Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE)
• Prevention of recurrent DVT and PE
• Long-term reduction of clotting risk
Dosage & Administration
• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Usually taken as one 10mg tablet daily
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow with water
• Take regularly at the same time each day
Possible Side Effects
• Increased bleeding tendency
• Bruising
• Nosebleeds
• Bleeding gums
• Stomach discomfort
When Not to Use
• Active severe bleeding
• Severe liver disease
• Severe kidney impairment
• Allergy to rivaroxaban
Precautions
• Inform doctor about all other medications
• Use cautiously with other blood thinners
• Monitor for signs of unusual bleeding
• Inform healthcare providers before surgery or dental procedures
