If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Take this tablet with food.

Do not use this medicine if:

• You are allergic to vildagliptin, metformin, or similar medicines
• You are suffering from any heart problems, or kidney or liver disease.
• You have type 1 diabetes
• If you have uncontrolled diabetes along with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rapid weight loss, lactic acidosis (symptoms include stomach pain, fast or rapid breathing, sleepiness).
• If you are a lactation mother.

Common side effects include:

• Headache
• Tiredness
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Loss of appetite
• Stomach pain
• Constipation

You should practice these cautions before taking the medicine:

• Talk to your doctor if you have hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the components in the medicine.
• Consult your gynecologist before using this medication during pregnancy.
• Avoid driving if you have taken metformin+vildagliptin as it may cause low blood sugar levels, which can impair your driving ability. Always keep sugar or chocolate with you, in case you experience low blood sugar, immediately have sugar or chocolate.
• Don’t use alcohol while taking this medication.

Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
